Amidst a troubled relaunch for its struggling MMO, Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn, developer-publisher Square Enix was forced to halt digital sales of the title. After a bout of server maintenance and a trial extension for existing players, Square Enix announced today that it is reopening digital purchases. "The company has performed extensive maintenance on the game servers, increasing the number of servers available, as well as increasing the maximum limit of users that are able to play at the same time per World," Square Enix said in a statement. "[We] would like to thank all the existing players and welcome those that have been waiting patiently to join."
