Standalone Wii U GamePads go on sale in Japan

Nintendo has finally started selling standalone Wii U GamePads, although they're only available in Japan for the time being.

Newsbrief: Nintendo has finally started to sell standalone Wii U GamePads, but only in Japan. 

A new listing on the Japanese Nintendo Store, the GamePad is currently priced at 13,824 yen ($112).

There's currently no word on whether the company is planning on offering separate GamePads to customers in the U.S and Europe, who must either buy another console or request a replacement from Nintendo to get their hands on another.
