Galactic Civilizations developer Stardock has announced it is unfurling a new mobile division. The company's mobile efforts are to be overseen by newly appointed studio chief Derek Paxton (lead designer for the company's Elemental: Fallen Enchantress) and senior producer Chris Bray (formerly lead designer for Red Storm Entertainment). Three titles are in the pipeline, the first of which has been announced as a combination card and strategy game, Dead Man's Draw, bound for iOS. "The mobile platform allows us to design games that just wouldn't make sense on a PC," Stardock CEO Brad Wardell said in conjunction with the announcement. Stardock acquired the Star Control IP from Atari in July of this year. Previously, the company announced it was setting up a multi-million dollar investment fund as an unorthodox expansion strategy.
