Steam Workshop creators can now share revenues with the community

Valve has rolled out a new feature to allow Steam Workshop item creators to share their revenues with tools providers and communities.

Newsbrief: Steam Workshop, which allows community members to create and sell their own items in Valve's Team Fortress 2 and Dota 2, has officially rolled out a feature to allow creators to share sales revenue with tools providers and others who contributed to an item's creation. Effective immediately, item creators in Team Fortress 2 and Dota 2 Workshops can "choose from a selection of toolmakers, communities and mentors" and assign a percentage of sales revenue to them. The cut is not taken from the item creator's royalty, but rather from the percentage that Valve takes from each sale. For more, head over to the Steam Workshop.
