Summer Games Done Quick concluded its week-long charity speedrun stream early on Sunday, and revealed that the latest event raised $713,338.96 for Doctors Without Borders. $83,009.71 was raised via a Humble Bundle promotion which saw 100 percent of proceeds generated from sales of games going to charity. Sponsors for the latest stream included AVer Media, Mad Catz, The Yetee, and SomethingArtistic.net. Summer Games Done Quick is the summer edition of Awesome Games Done Quick, which concluded its latest charity stream in January. At that time over $1 million was raised for the Prevent Cancer Foundation. The Games Done Quick events have so far raised over $2.75 million, according to a tweet sent from Speed Demos Archive's official account. SDA is one of the communities which organizes the event, alongside SpeedRunsLive. Not familiar with the Games Done Quick phenomenon? Gamasutra's Christian Nutt wrote about its virtues last year.
