Opinion: How will Project 2025 impact game developers?
The Heritage Foundation's manifesto for the possible next administration could do great harm to many, including large portions of the game development community.
The annual game developer salary survey is now live, and we want to hear from you! It's very important, and it'll only take about five minutes of your time, I swear.
Hello readers, I just wanted to drop a quick note to invite you to take the annual game developer salary survey. With Game Developer magazine's closure, I wanted to make sure that this continued on Gamasutra, because it was always one of the most valuable features of the magazine. The survey is open to all salaried employees, indie developers and contractors in the game industry. It will close on June 3, 2014, and the results will be published in early July 2014 on Gamasutra and our sibling site, GameCareerGuide. It takes about five minutes to complete. But wait, there's more! In appreciation of your time and effort, once you complete the survey, your name will be entered into a drawing to win an All Access Pass for your choice of Game Developers Conference events in the following year: GDC Europe in Cologne, Germany (August 11-13, 2014), GDC China in Shanghai, China (October 19-21, 2014), GDC Next featuring App Developers Conference in Los Angeles (November 3-4, 2014), GDC in San Francisco (March 2-6, 2015). This survey is anonymous, and none of the information presented will be associated with any individuals. Thanks again for your time. You can get started here. I'm looking forward to seeing the results! Kris Graft Editor-in-Chief, Gamasutra
