The Walking Dead developer Telltale Games confirmed today that it's cut a deal with The Fun Pimps to publish the team's Early Access zombie survival game 7 Days To Die (pictured) on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in June.

Though Telltale has been publishing externally-developed games since 2011, this is only the second console game publishing deal made under its new Telltale Publishing label -- the first being the Jackbox Party Pack late last year.

It's also notable that 7 Days To Die is a recent entry in the "open-world survival/crafting game with zombies in it" genre of games that have proven popular in recent years. It launched on Steam Early Access in late 2013, and remains in the Early Access program to this day.

Telltale notes the game has gained 1.5 million players on PC to date, and intends to add new modes and features (including a local split-screen multiplayer mode) for the console version.

The company is also tapping its work on the Walking Dead games to promote 7 Days to Die by offering Walking Dead character skins as pre-order incentives for the console versions of 7 Days to Die.
