Today is Veteran's Day in the United States. A day where we celebrate all those who served in the military. We also celebrate those in the active military. Whether you agree with current or past conflicts, everyone has a responsibility to recognize the work of soldiers. They put their lives and safety on the line. Sacrifices were made for our freedoms that we enjoy each and everyday.

Games often sensationalize the pillars of war, and as citizens we are drawn to the life of a soldier. They are given tools and training to succeed on and off the battlefield. Games are a fantasy even when they are super realistic. Games are also a training tool for teaching people combat and tactics in the military.

Here are some military games: (no particular order)

  • Call of Duty Series

  • Battlefield Series

  • America's Army

  • Ghost Recon Series

  • Company of Heroes

  • Brother in Arms

Always remember that even though we kill or hurt people in virtual games as entertainment or training. Real people often lose their life due to conflicts around the world.
