Apple's latest U.S. App Store game charts by revenue see CSR Racing and Kingdoms of Camelot earning top iPhone sales, while DragonVale and Slotomania HD remain big sellers on the iPad.
Every week, Gamasutra rounds up the top-grossing iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad applications, as current that day in the iTunes App Store. This week's U.S. revenue charts see CSR Racing and Kingdoms of Camelot earning top iPhone sales, while DragonVale and Slotomania HD remain big sellers on the iPad. These charts allow end users to see who is making the most money on the App Store that day. It differs significantly from the Top 10 Games chart, which is ranked by sales, and therefore is dominated by lower-priced titles that sell more copies. Data comes courtesy of Apple's public sales information. All titles in the App Store's "Games" category are considered in chart rankings. This week's top-grossing iPhone titles are: 1. CSR Racing (NaturalMotion, Free) 2. Kingdoms of Camelot: Battle for the North (Kabam, Free) 3. Rage of Bahamut (Mobage, Free) 4. Poker by Zynga (Zynga, Free) 5. Slotomania (Playtika, Free) 6. DragonVale (Backflip Studios, Free) 7. Tap Paradise Cove (Pocket Gems, Free) 8. Minecraft: Pocket Edition (Mojang, $6.99) 9. Bejeweled Blitz (PopCap, Free) 10. The Amazing Spider-Man (Gameloft, $6.99) NaturalMotion's microtransaction-supported racer CSR Racing leads as this week's highest-grossing app for both the iPhone and the iPad. Kingdoms of Camelot trails close behind at second place in the iPhone rankings, as Mobage's Rage of Bahamut overtakes Poker by Zynga for third. Pocket Gems' Tap Paradise Cove challenges DragonVale at seventh, meanwhile, as Gameloft's film tie-in title The Amazing Spider-Man reports strong sales at tenth place. The Amazing Spider-Man (Gameloft, $6.99) DragonVale emerges as a bigger success on the iPad than on the iPhone this week, overtaking Kabam's Kingdoms of Camelot for second place in the platform's revenue rankings. Newcomer Bingo Bash HD earns sixth place in this week's results, as Mystery Manor: Hidden Adventure, Tap Paradise Cove, and The Amazing Spider-Man close out today's top ten.
