There has been a major reshuffling of executive positions at Sega, with Binary Domain head Toshihiro Nagoshi now the company's newly elected director and CCO. The company said in a statement that the purpose of the change is to properly respond to the changing management environment, and in turn enhance the company's value. Over a dozen Sega and Sega Sammy executives have switched roles at the company, including Nagoshi who has previously headed up development on the likes of Super Monkey Ball and the Yakuza series. Okitane Usui, currently president and COO at Sega and director of the entire Sega Sammy Holdings company, will retire on March 31. He will be replaced by Naoya Tsurumi, who was formerly the company's managing director of international and global consumer business. Elsewhere, both Shigeru Yamashita and Yukio Sugino have been moved into managing director roles in their respective fields, down from the director roles they previously held.
