Newsbrief: British retail giants Tesco and WH Smith have withdrawn the sale of gift cards for children's chat and gaming website Habbo, following a damning investigation by UK broadcaster Channel 4 earlier this week. The report on the social website alleged that a reporter was met with chat that was "very sexual, perverse, violent [and] pornographic" in nature, and not suitable for the audience it is aimed at. Tesco and WH Smith have stopped stocking gift cards for the website in their shops, with the latter stating, "We were concerned to learn of the allegations about Habbo Hotel made in the Channel 4 news report. In response, we have taken this product off sale, pending further investigation."
