Troubled UK video games retailer Game Group today announced a partnership with Cloud gaming company Gaikai, that will soon see Game offering streaming game demos via its website. Game has had a difficult couple of months in terms of revenue, and was forced to review its strategic plan going forward so that it can continue to operate. This new agreement with Gaikai marks Game's initiative to expand its web and digital business, as it is looking to secure exclusive digital offerings that other UK retailers do not offer. Gaikai said that Game is now the largest European retailer to become a member of its network, which includes a number of major video game retailers such as Best Buy. Ian Shepherd, CEO for Game, explained, "We are thrilled to offer our consumers the ability to instantly preview game titles right at that critical moment of the purchase decision making and checkout process."
