Online UK games retailer ShopTo.net has launched its own PC gaming download service, allowing users to purchase and download digital games and DLC straight from the website. The service already boasts 400 titles and DLC packs to download, ranging from recent releases to older titles. Games bought through the scheme appear in the 'download' section of a user's account, with a product key code provided where needed. Users are also able to pre-order digital PC games through the service, including titles such as From Dust and Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Games from the like of Ubisoft, Square Enix and Sega are already being promoted via the service, with many discounted titles available. A number of the games available via the service require Steamworks, and therefore Steam keys are provided in these instances. The move comes as leading U.S. game retailer GameStop noted its new digital strategy, which has seen its profits rise thanks to digital game sales.
