Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment has announced an agreement with Japanese publisher Kadokawa Games that will see Grasshopper Manufacture's upcoming horror-action title Lollipop Chainsaw available worldwide. First announced last month, the latest title from Grasshopper will take place in a high school infested by the undead, and players will control a cheerleader named Juliet Starling as she slashes her way through the zombie hordes with the game's titular chainsaw. The game will be released in 2012 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. Kadokawa Games will publish the title in Asian territories, while Warner Bros. will bring it to Western territories. Kadokawa Games' president Yoshimi Yasuda noted that this is the first game that his company will publish on a HD console. Martin Tremblay, president of Warner Bros, said of the agreement, "Our exciting partnership with Kadokawa Games allows us to try something new by bringing a very unique game like Lollipop Chainsaw to Western markets."
