"'The ... course creator is the only saving grace on this game.' Wow, thanks! That's what I made."

- Paul Connors, software engineer on The Golf Club.

The Golf Club developer HB Studios has started in on a new video series, The Comment Card, which features folks at the studio reading -- and responding to -- various forms of public comment on their work.

The inaugural episode is worth watching because it features a few Golf Club developers reading select Steam user reviews of The Golf Club, both positive and negative.

More than one developer has opined that Steam user reviews can often be a bit harsh and unproductively critical.

While Valve continues to change Steam's user review system in an effort to better highlight timely, helpful reviews, it's notable that developers are putting their faces and voices out there as real people who read and emotionally respond to comments the world sends their way -- positive and negative.
