The editors of Game Developer magazine invite social and mobile game developers to take part in a new survey that examines common technical practices in these sectors of development.

The editors of Gamasutra sister publication Game Developer magazine have invited social and mobile game developers to take part in this year's Social/Mobile Game Technology Survey, which examines common technical practices in these sectors of development. With this information, Game Developer will be able to educate its readers about the most common platforms, technology, and tools that go into creating modern games on social networks, smartphones, and more. The data from this survey will be completely anonymous and will be presented only in aggregated form. The editors only ask for contact information to verify or carify answers if the need arises. The survey takes just a few minutes to answer, and will run until March 26. The final results will appear in the May 2012 issue of Game Developer magazine. Those interested in participating can fill out the survey now. Once again, this survey focuses on social and mobile developers -- console, PC native, and traditional handheld developers need not apply.
