GameSpot Trax, the editorial site's analytics and research arm, suggests its readers have dramatically increased their interest in the Wii U following Nintendo's strong showing.
Today, GameSpot Trax has released data that suggests that the editorial site's audience has significantly warmed to Nintendo's Wii U, following on from the company's strong E3 showing. According to Trax data, purchase intent rose across all levels of player interest in Nintendo's console, with "probably will purchase" and "definitely will purchase" getting three-point bumps, "may or may not purchase" getting a two-point bump, and "definitely will not purchase" falling by 8 points. "Definitely will not purchase" remained the majority answer, at 37 percent of those polled overall. 22 percent of respondents fall into the more positive camps ("definitely will purchase" and "probably will purchase") while 42 percent are neutral ("may or or may not purchase" and "probably will not purchase.") The purchase intent breakdown for PlayStation 4 is 49 percent positive, 37 percent neutral, and 15 percent negative. For Xbox One, it's 17 percent positive, 44 percent neutral, and 39 percent negative -- which GameSpot says was overall little changed by the companies' respective E3 showings.
