The Strong Museum's World Video Game Hall of Fame currently contains six titles, and if you'd like to nominate a game to join their ranks this year you have until February 29th to do so via The Strong's nomination form.

For developers, it's a notable opportunity to guide a museum's efforts to celebrate and promote games that have had a meaningful influence on the game industry.

The whole process seems functionally identical to the inaugural proceedings last year, when the six extant World Video Game Hall Of Fame games were chosen from a list of fifteen finalists culled (at least in part) from public nominations.

While The Strong will accept nominations of just about any sort of electronic game from arcade to mobile, museum curators are asking for the public to nominate games that have had broad, meaningful and long-lasting influence on the game industry and society at large.

After submissions close an internal committee will review all nominations to ensure they meet The Strong's guidelines, then consult with game industry scholars, journalists and educators before announcing the finalists in late March and the actual inductees in a May 5th ceremony.
