Major League Gaming has hired Zombie Studios' Jared Garritzen (Blacklight: Retribution) to serve as the company's new vice president of publishing and developer relations.
Newsbrief: Major League Gaming representatives announced today that the organization has hired Zombie Studios creative head Jared Garritzen to serve as the company's vice president of publishing and developer relations. Gerritzen has spent eight years working at Zombie in Seattle on the Blacklight series of multiplayer games, most recently the free-to-play Blacklight: Retribution. Prior to joining Zombie, he spent time working at both Monolith and Surreal Software. As an MLG executive, Gerritzen's bailiwick will now center around the company's efforts to expand its roster of partners and push the use of MLG's tournament management and stat-tracking services. Gamasutra has reached out to Zombie Studios for further comment on how Gerritzen's departure will affect the company, and we'll update with any meaningful new information.
This is my last week at @ZombieStudios its been a great 8 years. I'll miss the Devs and all our games. I get to be a fan of Blacklight again
