Sister site GameCareerGuide.com has announced the winners of the previous challenge ("The Crate"), while at the same time revealing its new Design Challenge, open to all. The latest challenge, now available on the site, is create an original yet simple game that requires nothing more than a few people and spoken words. The Game Design Challenge asks aspiring game makers to experiment with their ideas and discuss matters of game development. In the latest challenge, for example, the community of people working to solve the problem has opened a discussion on the definition of a game. Does it have to declare a winner in order to be a game? Does there have to be a scoring system? Professional game developers are invited to weigh in on the discussions and participate in the challenges. GameCareerGuide.com is Gamasutra.com’s sister web site for education about game development, catering to beginners, students, and professionals of other industries who are looking to break into games.
