Newsbrief: Social games company Kabam is working with Lionsgate to produce a mobile RPG based on the Hunger Games movies, in advance of the next film's November release. The game is pitched as a "card collection" RPG for mobile devices that will cast players as District citizens working to rebuild The Hunger Games' fictional nation of Panem. Lionsgate previously partnered with Adam Saltsman and other indie developers to produce the acclaimed free-to-play mobile game The Hunger Games: Girl On Fire as a tie-in to the first movie, which came out in 2012. The next game will be developed in Kabam's China studio, who previously partnered with Warner Bros. Interactive to launch the free-to-play mobile game The Hobbit: Kingdoms of Middle-earth in 2012. That game went on to become one of Kabam's top-grossing titles last year.
