Update on Pokemon Ranger: Guardian Signs

I would update a  system of the Pokemon Ranger's gameplay to bring the game to the the Switch. Mainly focusing on the "capturing Pokemon" system, where the player uses  a capture styler. Which  allows you to circle the Pokemon on the Touch Screen, causing damage to them as you complete successful rotations. The player was also able to use "Pokemon Assists",  Pokemon the player previously caught in their party, to aid in capturing wild Pokemon.

Of course since the game was on touch screen devises, on the switch  it would be used with the game controller to draw circles on the screen for captures. The main issue with the original ds games was how scratch up the bottom screen was after drawing circles for hours. So that's the physical aspect of major changes. For updating the Pokemon capture/combat system, I would change the Pokemon assist function to let you carry a team of 6 Pokemon with various move sets to choose from like Pokemon Go. In Go, the player can change their Pokemon's moves set from a pool of few moves to fill the slots of 2 or even 3 from upgrading your Pokemon (left image below). So in battle against a single or  numerous wild Pokemon, the player can send out the equivalent amount of their Pokemon to help aid in the capture. Just like in the main game series, where double battles are 2v2 (right image below).

Final Thoughts

I do believe the game will make some sales, just like the remake of  Pokemon Mystery Dungeon on the Switch, with my system updates. The game takes elements from the main and spin-off games to create a unique Pokemon experience. By catching the eye of older players, who remember the game back in the days, and comforting younger players with game elements related to other Pokemon games.
