In the days following the Game Developers Conference, one particular lecture has been causing significant interest and controversy in the game development community - ' Burning Down the House: Game Developers Rant'. The roundtable, featuring Eric Zimmerman, Warren Spector, Greg Costikyan, Brenda Laurel, and Chris Hecker, was immediately transcribed by the Wonderland weblog, and follow-up pieces over on GameDev.net and on Greg Costikyan's weblog, on which he posted the original text of his speech, has meant the discussion has been spreading significantly, and is a major talking point within the 'Question Of The Week' recently posted on Gamasutra. Gamasutra's parent company CMP Media, which organizes Game Developers Conference, recorded the session in question, and is hoping to make it available in some form in the near future.
