The GRIN team that recreated Bionic Commando as Bionic Commando Rearmed has recreated itself as Might and Delight, and plans to "repeat [its] former success" with new retro-inspired games. The Stockholm-based studio, which describes itself on its official site as a "small group of people that met each other under the roof of former game developer GRIN," has not yet announced any new projects. Bionic Commando Rearmed was released in 2008 as a modernized downloadable version of Capcom's 1988 NES sidescroller Bionic Commando. It was soon followed by Bionic Commando, a modern 3D action game sequel. Both Rearmed and the larger-scale sequel were developed by different teams within Swedish developer GRIN, but Rearmed was received with considerably warmer reviews. In 2009, GRIN shut down amidst financial turmoil. "After Grin's closure in August 2009 we decided to pick up the threads and explore the wonderful collaboration that led to Rearmed," the new studio's site reads. "And so, one fantastic day, Might and Delight was born!" The studio says it hopes to pursue further games with old-school gameplay, defining its goal as "to create experiences that look to that simplicity while providing something fresh and accessible."
