With still no major new releases the UK, sales charts remain dominated by Christmas releases, with the top ten titles again all seeing a decline in sales. With the Xbox 360 version at number one, the PlayStation 3 version up eight places to number nine and the PC version a re-entry at number seventeen though it is Activision’s Call of Duty 4 which has fallen the least – down only 21 percent on the previous week. Topping the combined formats chart as well, Call of Duty 4’s drop in sales was less pronounced than FIFA 08 at 50 percent, Assassin’s Creed at 43 percent and The Simpsons Game at 53 percent. The two Brain Training games fared only a little worse than Call Of Duty 4, with the original down 26 percent and More Brain Training (aka Brain Age 2) down 39 percent. Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock, which has so far not performed as well in the UK as in North America - in part due to continuing stock problems, had one of its best weeks since launch, with sales down only 30 percent and a combined charts position of five. (Sixteen for the PlayStation 2 version in the individual unit charts and twenty-five for the Xbox 360 version.) Although there were no new releases, the top forty saw many re-entries, including a high number of Wii titles – suggesting increased stock of the hardware. Super Paper Mario appears at number twenty-one, Mario Strikers Charged Football at number twenty-three, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 at number twenty-seven and Wario Ware: Smooth Moves at number thirty-three.
