[Every other week, Gamasutra examines the fastest growing Facebook games (according to monthly active users), looking at which titles and developers are having the most success attracting new players on the social network.] Not counting Birthday Cards, RockYou's gifting app that's categorized as a game for some reason, Funzio's mafia game Crime City leads the list this week after gaining nearly 1.2 million monthly users, boosting its mob size by 50 percent to 3.6 million total players. At #3 is Ravenwood Fair, LOLapps' recently launched sim about a "scary forest" -- it's the developer's only game that currently has access to Facebook's communication channels after the social network punished the studio for its role in recent user privacy breach troubles. Developed with the help of game industry veteran and Doom designer John Romero, Ravenwood Fair has a total of almost 2.3 million monthly players after growing by 91 percent in the past week and attracting 1.1 million new users. Arabic gifting app لعبة الحقيقة is at #4, followed by another foreign title, Happy Elements' My Kingdoms, a sim with now 1.8 million users. The Chinese game added 841,988 players, expanding by 92 percent this week. After that, RockYou's Zoo World came in at #6 (+739,752 users, 8.1 million total), Zynga's Texas HoldEm Poker took #7 (+587,890 users, 36.6 million total), and DTAC's dtac one D.I.Y. ranked #8 (+525,457 users, 1.5 million total). In the last two spots for the top ten fastest-growing Facebook games, Zynga's Mafia Wars was at #9 after absorbing 516,987 more virtual mobsters into its 23.5 million total users, and RedSpell's Simply Hospital landed at #10 with 407,946 new patients and a 1 million user total.
