Harmonix's Dance Central was tops among Kinect games in November, placing 11th on the NPD Group's software charts for the month overall. Among other titles for Microsoft's new Xbox 360-compatible motion-sensing camera, Kinect Sports and Your Shape: Fitness Evolved were the second and third most popular titles on the device. The NPD's new stricter standards for what types of information it'll release mean that unit sales for individual titles are no longer available, but we do know that Kinect itself sold 2.5 million units worldwide during the month of November. NPD revealed the positioning information for the most popular Kinect titles to consumer weblog Joystiq, which correctly points out that while Dance Central led other titles as a single SKU, the install base for Kinect Adventures is much larger, as the game is bundled with the device. It seems that motion controlled dance and fitness games continue to be popular even on older platforms -- Ubisoft's Wii title Just Dance 2 was third overall for the month of November, behind only Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood and chart-topper Call of Duty: Black Ops.
