Dead Space 2 Leads UK Charts Over LittleBigPlanet 2

EA and Visceral Games' sci-fi horror sequel Dead Space 2 led the UK video game retail charts this week, with a 70 percent increase in launch week sales compared to the original title.

Visceral Games' sci-fi horror sequel Dead Space 2 led the UK video game retail charts this week, topping last week's leading title, LittleBigPlanet 2, reports tracking firm Chart-Track. Dead Space 2 experienced a 70 percent increase in launch week sales compared to the original Dead Space, which launched in the holiday season of 2008. For the week ended January 29, LittleBigPlanet 2 and FIFA 11 rounded out the top three on the all-platforms chart, and Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood inched its way up to number four. Nintendo's Art Academy for DS and Ubisoft's Just Dance made their way back into top 10, taking spots nine and 10, respectively. Titles falling from the top 10 this week include Mass Effect 2, Kinect Sports, and Gran Turismo 5. Below are Chart-Track's all-platforms sales charts, which include unit sales of all versions of a given title, and the individual platform charts, which treat individual SKUs separately.
