The Heritage Foundation's manifesto for the possible next administration could do great harm to many, including large portions of the game development community.
Fallout 3 downloadable content will be Xbox 360- and PC-exclusive for only a few more weeks, as developer Bethesda said Tuesday, as the DLC heads to PS3; two all-new packs also coming to all platforms.
PlayStation 3 fans who have been miffed about the lack of downloadable content for Bethesda’s Fallout 3 have one less thing to be upset about, as the studio announced Tuesday that the downloadable content packs Operation: Anchorage, The Pitt and Broken Steel will be releasing on the PlayStation Network in the weeks to come. Bethesda said that Operation: Anchorage, which released on Xbox 360 and PC in January, will be available for PS3 in “late June,” while The Pitt and Broken Steel will release later, four to six weeks apart. Bethesda said precise release dates are forthcoming. A new update for PS3 that will allow users to play the DLC will release in the future as well. On top of the new PS3 content, all three versions of Fallout 3 (Xbox 360, PS3 and PC) will receive two all-new DLC packs: The swampland-based Point Lookout and Mothership Zeta, in which players are abducted by aliens. Xbox 360 and PC will get Point Lookout in late June for $9.99. It will arrive on PS3 after the release of the first three downloadable packs. Mothership Zeta is slated for Xbox 360 and PC in late July for $9.99, and will arrive on PS3 sometime after Point Lookout. Bethesda also said it would be releasing at retail two disc-based add-ons for Xbox 360 and PC: one with The Pitt and Operation Anchorage on May 26, and another with Broken Steel and Point Lookout in August. The studio said retail versions of disc-based add-on packs are “not possible” on PS3. DLC for PS3 will only be available online via PlayStation Network. Also coming to retail is Fallout 3 Game of the Year edition in October, which will include the original game and all five add-ons for $59.99 on Xbox 360 and PS3, and on PC for $49.99.
