Massachusetts-based, game-focused business and talent agency Digital Development Management announced today it has signed Fallout: New Vegas and Knights of the Old Republic II developer Obsidian Entertainment to a development deal. The deal adds Obsidian to over 15 other companies on DDM's representation roster, which includes Enslaved developer Ninja Theory, Overlord developer Triumph Studios and Need for Speed: Shift developer Slighty Mad Studios. “We are excited to have DDM as a partner, to not only help us succeed in the business of making games, but also to help us move toward new opportunities in the free-to-play, downloadable and MMO spaces as well as the epic RPGs for current and future generation consoles we are known for developing," said Obsidian CEO Feargus Urquhart. "We are thrilled to be working with Obsidian and excited about the opportunity to place their latest game currently in development," said DDM founder, managing partner and business development manager Jeff Hilbert in a statement. "With a long lineage of major hits, Obsidian is poised to continue that success in the traditional game industry while expanding their presence in the transmedia space." Last year DDM launched a new division focused on providing consulting services for the business-oriented side of the industry, as well as another division focused solely on social game developers.
