The PlayStation 3-exclusive God of War III debuted at the top of Chart-Track's weekly sales rankings for the week ended March 20, making it the second Sony-published game this year to top the all-platforms charts after Quantic Dream-developed Heavy Rain, released three weeks ago. Chart-Track noted that last year, Sony only had one title that reached number one -- Killzone 2, developed by Guerilla Games. The tracking firm also said that Sony Santa Monica's God of War III outsold its 2007 PlayStation 2 predecessor, God of War II, by a ratio of 2.65 to 1 in the UK. Last week's number one, Square Enix's Final Fantasy XIII fell to number three after an 80 percent week-on-week drop in the region. The game released in the UK on March 9. Electronic Arts' multiplatform shooter Battlefield: Bad Company 2 captured the number two spot for another week "only 2,000 sales away from number one," Chart-Track said. THQ and 4A Games' atmospheric post-apocalyptic first-person title Metro 2033 was able to crack the top 10 at number five. The game is for Xbox 360 and PC, and was created by former developers of the post-apocalyptic game Stalker.
