Ubisoft's Wii-exclusive music game Just Dance landed the top spot on Chart-Track's weekly UK sales charts for the week ended January 16, dethroning Activision and Infinity Ward's hit multiplatform shooter, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2. Modern Warfare 2, which Activision said has generated over $1 billion globally, was able to hang on to the top UK spot for nine weeks in a row on Chart-Track's all-platforms rankings, which lump together sales of all versions of a given title. The motion-enabled dancing game Just Dance from Ubisoft hit the European market near the end of November, three weeks after Modern Warfare 2's November 10 release. Just Dance saw a 114 percent week-on-week unit sales increase, making it the first Ubisoft game since 2008's Rainbow Six Vegas 2 to capture the top slot. Also surpassing Modern Warfare 2 on the all-platforms rankings this week was Nintendo's Wii Fit Plus, which launched in the UK in October 2009. Making its debut at number four is Electronic Arts' co-op heavy action title Army of Two: The 40th Day. New arrivals from the previous week--Darksiders from THQ and Bayonetta from Sega--were able to secure top 10 rankings for another week. New Super Mario Bros. Wii was the only game to fall out of the top 10 rankings from the prior week. UK All-Platforms Top 10 1. Just Dance (Ubisoft) 2. Wii Fit Plus (Nintendo) 3.
