Electronic Arts' and BioWare's spacefaring role-playing game Mass Effect 2 led UK charts for the second week in a row, despite a 64 percent week-on-week drop, Chart-Track reported Monday. For the week ended February 6, BioWare's latest RPG, available on Xbox 360 and PC, outsold number two game, Ubisoft's Wii-exclusive Just Dance, and Activision's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, which came in third. The top three was unchanged from a week prior. EA's high-profile Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 action game Dante's Inferno also debuted in the UK, coming in at number four, making it the only new title to break the top 10. Developed by Visceral Games, EA supported the game--derived from the epic poem of the same name--with a heavy marketing campaign that included an ad during the Super Bowl in the U.S. Just missing the top 10 on Chart-Track's all-platforms charts, which lump together sales of all versions of a given title, was Cryptic Studios' and Atari's PC MMORPG Star Trek Online, which landed the number 11 spot. The only game to fall out of the top 10 from a week prior was EA Montreal's Army of Two: The 40th Day. Below are the rankings for Chart-Track's all-platforms chart for the week ended February 6: UK All-Platforms Top 10 1. Mass Effect 2 (EA) 2. Just Dance (Ubisoft) 3. The new, PC-only Star Trek Online just missed the top 10, ranking in at number 11 on the individual platform charts.
