Activision and Infinity Ward's hit first-person shooter Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 once again led Chart-Track's all-platforms top 10 UK sales chart for the week ended January 2, the tracking firm said this week. The title, released on PC, Xbox 360, and PlayStation 3, managed to maintain the top spot despite a 41 percent week-on-week drop in unit sales, the firm said. It's the eighth week in a row since its November launch that Modern Warfare 2 has led the charts in the UK. Chart-Track's all-platforms chart lumps together sales of all versions of a given title. The remainder of the top 10 for the week is a shuffle of the previous week. Ubisoft's Assassin's Creed II continued its strong placement on the charts, coming in at number two, up from third a week prior. Unit sales dropped 36 percent week-on-week for the title. Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games also has shown staying power, rising from fifth to third, week-on-week. Ubisoft's Just Dance rose from 12th to seventh, pushing Microsoft and Turn 10's Forza Motorsport 3 out of the number 10 spot to 11th. UK All-Platforms Top 10 1.
