Opinion: How will Project 2025 impact game developers?
The Heritage Foundation's manifesto for the possible next administration could do great harm to many, including large portions of the game development community.
Puzzle & Dragons developer GungHo continues its market dominance, reporting a nearly 1000 percent sales increase in the past six months, with an average of $4.9 million in revenue per day.
According to market analyst Serkan Toto, who translated Puzzle & Dragons developer GungHo's recent earnings report covering the period from January to June 2013, the company is seeing a sales increase of 945.5 percent in the last six months alone. Additionally, Toto reports that between April and June 2013 GungHo brought in $4.9 million U.S. in sales per day, for a net income-per-day of $1.8 million U.S. These figures are up even from when we last reported on GungHo's revenues in May. Naturally, even the most successful moneymaker can't continue on an upwards trajectory forever, although it's anyone's guess just how much further Puzzle & Dragons will go in its market dominance. Toto notes that that growth may already be slowing, with GungHo projecting "just" $138 million U.S. in July sales.
