Following its recently announced partnership with developer and publisher Bethesda Softworks, Quake Wars developer Splash Damage has announced the addition of four new members, including Mass Effect, Prince of Persia and Burnout veterans. Splash Damage says the additions are the first moves in its previously announced plans to double the size of its development team to more than 60 as it ramps up production on a new yet-undetailed multiplatform title in conjunction with Bethesda. Currently joining the team are new art director Olivier Leonardi, who previously has worked on Rainbow Six: Vegas and Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones, and Chris Sweetman as the developers new audio director, with previous experience on Criterion titles Black and Burnout: Paradise. Also joining the team is Tim Appleby as its new lead character artist, who has worked with BioWare on Mass Effect, and new producer Chris Dawson, with previous experience on Driver, Test Drive, and Evil Genius. Said Splash Damage owner Paul Wedgwood, "I couldn't be more excited about this influx of amazing talent to Splash Damage, especially as we start developing for multiple platforms. Their experience and knowledge are a hugely positive contribution to Splash Damage and will help us further establish Splash Damage as one of the up-and-coming studios in the world."
