After an extremely positive first week of sales, with 465,000 units sold in just four days, Metal Gear Solid 4 has seen a sharp drop off in its second week on the Japanese sales charts. The game dropped to second place with just 68,000 units sold, beaten by new entry Super Robot Wars A Portable. The new PSP iteration of the evergreen turn-based strategy franchise sold 102,000 units on its debut, easily seizing the top spot and taking its place as one of three PSP titles in the top ten. The second highest new entry of the week is what is known in the U.S. as Super Mario Sluggers for the Wii, with the family friendly baseball simulation registering 58,000 unit sales at number three. Also new at number four is dating simulator sequel Harukanaru Toki no Naka de 4 on PlayStation 2, which is primarily aimed at female games players. There was only one other new entry in the top thirty, a budget re-release of Sega puzzle game Puyo Puyo! 15th Anniversary for the Nintendo DS.
