Raleigh, North Carolina-based developer Atomic Games, most recently known for the controversial and as-yet-unreleased Iraq War-based game Six Days In Fallujah, has revealed Breach, its latest project. The studio revealed little about the game in a press release, other than it is "a multiplayer title for consoles and personal computers." The premise of the game is based on "the elite CIA Special Activities Division officers." Atomic Games is the developer behind the unreleased military-themed third-person shooter Six Days In Fallujah, a title based on the Second Battle of Fallujah, a bloody confrontation which took place in late 2004 during the ongoing war in Iraq. In 2008, Konami announced that it would be publishing the game, but the company dropped the game following controversy surrounding the question of whether or not it was too soon to depict the battle in a video game. Atomic said that it was being respectful to the conflict, while others, including those who lost loved ones in the battle, suggested a game based on the confrontation trivialized its real-life impact. The studio said in October last year that it is continuing work on Six Days in Fallujah, even though it has yet to sign it with a new publisher. Atomic is also known for its World War II-based Close Combat real-time strategy game series, which debuted in 1996.
