Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. Brawl for Wii has remained at the top of the UK sales chart for a second week, despite a drop in sales of 48 percent from its debut. It tops both the individual and combined sales charts, with the number two and three positions in the latter also unchanged, as Battlefield: Bad Company and Lego Indiana Jones both experience a drop of 31 percent. In the individual format charts, THQ’s semi-budget title Big Beach Sports continues to benefit from heavy television advertising, moving up two places to number two. Wii Fit stock has also remained stable enough to see the hardware bundle drop only one place to number four. Meanwhile, Sega’s Beijing 2008 on Xbox 360 moves up ten places to number six. The PlayStation 3 version also moves up eight places to number eleven in its second week. There are no genuine new entries in the top ten, with the highest of the week being the new Xbox 360 version of Unreal Tournament III at number twelve. The second highest is PlayStation 3 exclusive Buzz! Quiz TV at number fifteen, which includes sales of both the hardware bundle and solo edition. Also new at number thirty is Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time, with alternative SKU Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Darkness at number thirty-four. Although combined sales of the two near identical games would have seen an entry much further up the chart, the spin-off franchise still continues to prove less popular in the UK than in Japan and the U.S. The final new entry of the week is the Nintendo DS version of movie tie-in Kung Fu Panda at number thirty-five. No other versions of the game have charted in the top forty, although the movie was only on general release for two of the days counted in this current chart.
