3DBuzz.com has announced a new contest: the Old School Level Design Contest for Unreal Tournament 3. The purpose of the contest is to recognize and attract new creative talent into the Unreal modding community. One of the rules of the contest is that only those assets included with the retail version of Unreal Tournament 3, published by Midway, are permitted; absolutely no custom content can be used in the level, according to contest rules. The grand prize winner will receive $1,000 cash; a PlayStation 3 game console (or $500 cash); an autographed copy of Unreal Tournament 3 signed by the developers; and video reviews of the winning level by the staff of 3D Buzz and Epic design director Cliff Bleszinski. For more information, see 3DBuzz.com.
