The Game Developers Association of Australia have announced that the Games Connect: Asia Pacific will be returning to Brisbane, Queensland November 19th-22nd, this year focusing on online, mobile and casual games. Organizers have officially announced a call for papers for the 2008 conference, with speaker submissions being accepted until June 6th for any interested international and domestic members of the games, IT, interactive entertainment, film and sound industries. Along with the above topics, the 2008 GCAP will also focus on serious games and technological developments, including the latest server technologies. The GDAA says presentation and workshop proposals can be submmited in the fields of: * Game Development, * Writing and Scripting, * Project Management, * Serious Games in Defence, Health, Education and Simulation, * Business Modelling and Marketing, * Finance and Investment, * Skills and Recruitment Said GDAA CEO and GCAP 08 chairman Greg Bondar, “The new and game developer and publisher focused GCAP 08 program will address topics and trends of the Asia Pacific game industry.
