2009 ESCONF Pro Gaming Conference Finalizes Line-Up

Think Services has released final details on Cologne, Germany's 2009 International eSports Conference, held next week and boasting speakers from Electronic Arts, Paderborn University, nGize eSports and more.

Gamasutra parent Think Services’ Germany-based International eSports Conference (ESCONF) will be taking place on May 26 and 27 in Cologne, and will target not only eSportsmen, but also students, teachers, parents, politicians and media. It will be the sixth year for ESCONF, and speaking at the event will be Think Services VP of European Business Development Frank Sliwka, EA Germany’s Martin Lorber, EGM eSport & Gaming Media’s Simon Wondracek, Prof. Dr. Jorg Muller-Lietkow of Paderborn University, and Christian Funk of nGize eSports. Also speaking at the event will be professional gamers and other eSports advocates. There will also be a series of eSports workshops for players and managers after the lectures, covering everything from legal issues to marketing. In addition, on May 27, there will also be a closed roundtable think-tank within ESCONF discussing the future role of eSports within society.
