The annual Las Vegas-based DICE Summit will host speakers from companies including GT5 studio Polyphony Digital, Scribblenauts dev 5th Cell and other notable firms.
Organizers for the annual DICE Summit for executives today announced an initial lineup of notable speakers that includes game makers as well as one filmmaker. Kazunori Yamauchi, president of Gran Turismo developer Polyphony Digital, is one of the speakers at the event, which takes place in Las Vegas February 9-11, 2011. Also presenting is John Stevenson, filmmaker and co-director of the animated movie Kung Fu Panda, which saw licensed video game spinoffs. On February 10, the summit, held by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences, will host the 14th annual Interactive Achievement Awards ceremony. The Indie Game Challenge results also make a return to DICE next year. Other confirmed 2011 DICE speakers so far include: - Mark Cerny - President, Cerny Games and member of the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences' Hall of Fame. - Jeremiah Slaczka - Creative director and CEO of Drawn to Life and Scribblenauts developer 5th Cell. - Joseph Tringali - General manager and COO of 5th Cell. - Keith Lee - CEO and co-founder of Booyah, developer of MyTown and Nightclub City.
