Notable candidates for this year's elections include Obsidian Entertainment CEO Feargus Urquhart, Sledgehammer Games founder Glen Schofield and Tencent Boston VP and general manager Jeff Goodsill. Others putting themselves forward include Scott Berfield (University of Washington), Dustin Clingman (ZeeGee Games), Corvus Elrod (Zakelro Story Studio), Darion Lowenstein (Electronic Arts), Michael Lubker (Paper Child Studios), Cordy Rierson (Microsoft Game Studios), Grant Shonkwiler (AMI Entertainment Network), and John Vignocchi (Disney Interactive). Existing board members Coray Seifert, Wendy Despain, Darius Kazemi, Jane Pinckard, David Edery, Jamil Moledina and Tobi Saulnier will keep their elected seats until 2013, and appointed Board members Erin Hoffman, Rodney Gibbs and Brian Robbins -- who is also running for re-election now -- will serve through September of this year. Nominations were opened January 17th and closed February 14th, and today the IGDA sends election materials and voting instructions to every eligible member of the trade body. The ballots, filed electronically, will be counted on March 18th and the newly-elected directors officially take their seats on April 1. The full list of nominees and their personal statements are available for all interested parties to see on the IGDA's official IGDA election candidates website.
