3D Pipeline announced the release of its new 3D volumetric cloud application, 3D Cloud FX. Real-time, procedurally generated clouds can react to changes in environmental parameters such as humidity, temperature, and wind speed. The Perlin Noise function was used to recreate natural and realistic cloud-like behaviors using mathematical approximations that give the user a true first person perspective. 3D Cloud FX requires only a consumer grade video card to operate.
