3DO Just Misses Q3 Expectations

<a href="http://www.3do.com">3DO</a> has released its earnings results, revealing a fiscal third quarter loss of $12.3 million (27 cents per share) on revenues of $29.9 million, compared to a profit of $1.4 million on revenues of $41.2 million.

Analysts had expected a loss of about 24 cents per share. 3DO's Trip Hawkins cited difficult market conditions brought about by the current shortage of Playstation 2 consoles, yet looked ahead to the next quarter in which 3DO will release several PS2 titles, including Warriors of Might and Magic, Army Men: Sarge's Heroes 2, Army Men: Green Rogue, Heroes of Might and Magic, High Heat Baseball and Army Men: Air Attack 2.
