Though revenues grew by 37 percent in its fiscal third quarter, 3DO is still reporting a loss.
The loss, excluding charges related to recent corporate restructuring, of $8.6 million is smaller than analysts had expected and is well below the loss of $24.3 million 3DO reported in the same period last year. Revenues grew to $13.3 million for the quarter from last year’s $9.6 million. The company attributed the success to improving sales of Playstation 2 titles, with that platform now accounting for 42 percent of the 3DO’s revenues.
