Discreet, the media and entertainment division of Autodesk, Inc., has announced that it will be giving the first public showing of its 3ds max 7.5 software at the Game Developer Conference (GDC) at booth #113 on the show floor at San Francisco's new Moscone West Exhibit Hall from March 9th-11th, 2005. 3ds max 7.5 software delivers a robust integrated hair and fur system, the most current version of mental ray 3.4 by mental images and a new design toolset that combines the feature sets of 3ds max and Autodesk VIZ software. A number of award winning games, including World of WarCraft (Blizzard Entertainment), Halo 2 (Bungie Software) and Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (Rockstar Games), all of which are nominees of the Game Developers Choice Awards, were created with the help of 3ds max software, and Discreet are holding a number of tutorials during the week of GDC to show some of the capabilities of the software package.
