Activision has appointed former Macy's corporate marketing EVP Brad Jakeman to the newly-created position of chief creative officer, effective early November 2008. Jakeman will oversee global advertising, media, marketing, and consumer research for all of Activision's franchises, reporting to the company's president and CEO Mike Griffith. Prior to his work with Macy's, Jakeman served as managing director on Citigroup's Global Advertising team for eight years. Before that, he was a senior partner and worldwide management supervisor at advertising firm Ogilvy & Mather. "We are very pleased to welcome Brad to our executive team as we continue to grow and expand our operations across the globe," says Griffith in a statement. "Brad's impressive track record of success leading brand strategy and creative advertising over the past 20 years, coupled with his considerable marketing experience, makes him an ideal candidate for this position."
