Adobe Releases Photoshop 7

Adobe has released Photoshop 7.0, which adds new functionality for digital camera owners, plus a number of new natural media painting tools and new scripting support. Version 7 adds a "Healing Brush," to make it easier to retouching digital photos by removing dust, scratches, blemishes, wrinkles, and other flaws while preserving shading, lighting, and textures in the image. Also new is a the File Browser, an image organizer that lets you browse image thumbnails; quickly rotate, sort, rank, and batch rename images, and view EXIF (Exchangeable Image File) information from digital cameras. Photoshop 7.0 also offers new creative tools including the new Painting Engine, which allows users to simulate traditional painting techniques. The new Scripting Support plug-in enables Photoshop 7.0 users to automate repetitive tasks from basic manipulation of single objects to complex control of multiple documents, and completely replace manual workflows across multiple Adobe applications. Adobe Photoshop 7.0 is available at a street price of $609.
